A Long, Slow Court

With my dog handling the blog yesterday, my creative juices took the downtime to do a little percolating.

Apparently they needed it.

Because what came after the long, gentle seeping was freaking fantastic!

Really.

Not pulling your leg or nothing.

Not only was the actually writing (i.e. word choice, word placement, word love) rocking it, those rare little plot gems that make the readers go “ahhh!” were  popping up like sweet daisies everywhere!

(Apparently, however, all of yesterday’s goodiness was wrung out of me since I can’t come up with a better simile than “sweet daisies.”  And the “not pulling your leg or nothing” remark is bordering on the unforgivable. Apologies for that one.)

Anyhow, it was the kind of writing day that when you finally put that pencil down, finally click that laptop shut all you can do is sit back and say “Wow!”

Afterglow.

The kind where you both need a cigarette after, even if neither of you have ever taken a puff.

The kind where the tingles last right through the night and follow you into your dreams.

The kind where the long, slow courting of the mind has ended and the flesh is now centerstage

The kind where you…

*dog slaps blogger upside the head*

Yeah.

Alright, fine.

Maybe I do need a life.

*smirks*

Until tomorrow…

Chloe

P.S. It really was freaking fantastic, though.
