Allow for reflection. Your characters need it. You need it.
Despite romance novels often being born of explosive encounters of
either emotion or carnality, love
stories require time alone. Plan your storylines with these crucial moments of
introspection tucked in.
Allow the characters space apart to think, to
consider, to pine. This not only adds to the success of your plot, it adds to your
manuscript’s length. A good thing all around, I’d say.
