“Will write for seed.”
Not the most common placard an up-and-coming author would hold to their
chest, but if you’ve learned nothing else from following this blog you’ve
learned Chloe Stowe will never be numbered amongst the “most common.”
Consider this post simply more proof of that.
One year ago today I had a hysterectomy… and it’s proven to be one of
the best things that has happened to me. Without going into any needless
details, I had grown physically miserable with my uterus. Nothing cancerous,
thank God, just intrusive and nearly constantly painful. Now that that sucker
is out, I feel 100 percent better. It’s indescribable so I won’t event try to
put it into words.
Anyhow, the point is that today, February 13, is the first anniversary
of my P.U.D. (Post Uterus Days)
To celebrate, my parents have given me tiny packages to open throughout
the day. The presents have been sitting all prettily wrapped on my mantle for
weeks as a daily reminder of how much better life is today than a year before.
Seeds. Each little present was a package of Burpee seeds. I’m an avid
gardener with my tiny Florida backyard. Gardening is incredibly therapeutic to
me. Often it soothes the hiccups in my mind to the point where I can barely
feel them. So a gift of seeds is a simply spectacular thing, one I’d like to
share with you in the gallery of what my seeds will one day grow.
I hope you enjoy these little promises of spring just as much as I’ve
enjoyed my gifts of seed.

Until tomorrow…
